Thanks everyone who contributed toiletries, linen, household goods and clothes which were delivered to Tracey and Cathy from Maybanke Women’s Crisis Centre this morning. They were thrilled with the kid’s beanies.

Quota Brisbane has been providing support to Women and their children at Maybanke since 2014. Local community support has been essential to providing this service.

Thanks Ellen, your family and friends for your ongoing donations. Ellen has provided cleaning products purchased through use of her Flybuy points. She has repurposed curtains converting them into quilt covers and sewn toiletry bags with love as have her family and friends.

When the call goes out,  the community contribute toiletries they collect while travelling. When families arrive at the Crisis Centre they often do not have any personal items. We aim to give them items they need for a night or two when they arrive.  We usually provide a small shampoo and conditioner, body wash or soap, body moisturiser, a comb, tissues, deodorant, tooth brush and toothpaste along with a special butterfly so they know someone cares.

We have also contributed household goods to assist when the women move into rental accommodation after they leave the Crisis Centre.
