Mission Statement
Quota Brisbane is a Not for Profit Organisation that through care, service and leadership, provides support inspiration and empowerment to its members and volunteers and supporting those in need in our local community.
Our History and Milestones
1919
Quota International, the first women’s service club was officially founded by Wanda Frey Joiner in USA, Motto ‘We Share’.
1930
Quota International comes to Australia.
1958
Quota International comes to Queensland.
1988
Quota International of North Brisbane initiates the Christmas Breakfast raising money to support Anglicare.
1996
Quota International of Brisbane City Inc. is formed by the amalgamation of the Quota Clubs of North Brisbane and Brisbane, involved in lobbying Government for Infant Hearing Screening through NCWQ.
2009
Celebration of Quota’s 90th Birthday at Government House, QI Brisbane City Ambassador of the Year Competition won by Centenary State High School Student.
2010
International Convention in Vancouver, Canada.
2011
Worldwide Quota Clubs support flood victims in Queensland providing over $80,000 to help schools recover, QI Brisbane City assists in the distribution of the funds to teachers and schools affected
2014
QI Brisbane City sponsors Teachers of the Deaf Convention along with other Quota Clubs in District 30.
2015
Quota International establishes Regions, QI Brisbane City joins New Zealand, Norfolk Island and Quota Clubs in Toowoomba, Beenleigh, Beaudesert, Ipswich, Sandgate, Nundah Clayfield, Brisbane South, Jimboomba and Boonah in Region 13. Quota Brisbane has a bumper year with the TUH carpark fundraising during the Caravan and Camping Show in June and Ekka in August.
2019
Quota International celebrated 100 years of service in February. Region 13 celebrated at Parliament House and the Storey Bridge was ablaze with Quota Blue and Silver. Quota Brisbane met via Zoom
2020
Quota International unfortunately dissolved following COVID 19.
2021
QI Brisbane City resumed face to face meetings and was rebranded as the Quota Club of Brisbane Inc. Past President Dr Laurel Macintosh OBE was awarded Honorary Life Membership at the fundraiser to support Zephyr Education.
2022
Quota Club of Brisbane donate a Soundfield Amplification System to Goodna State Special School.
2023
Quota member Robyn Porter was officially recognised in the Mayor of Brisbane’s Australia Day Award.

We worked through NCWQ to lobby Government to introduce infant hearing screening. Most infants are now screened at birth.

Quota Brisbane has provided five Soundfield Amplification Systems to date to schools in and around Brisbane and a ChatterVox Voice Amplifier
